Barbara Anderson is the liaison to national accrediting organizations, working on behalf of AANA to represent the interests of CRNAs and patients with The Joint Commission, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), QUAD A and DNV Healthcare, among others. She also supports the AANA Professional Practice Division with professional practice and practice management document development, including AANA member resources on facility bylaws, rules, and regulations.

Brett Maxfield is the President and CEO of Maxfield Healthcare Solutions, an international surgical consulting firm based in Southeastern Idaho. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University-Idaho, and the University of Michigan-Flint Anesthesia Program, and has been a CRNA since 2009. In addition to his consulting firm, he also owns a multi-specialty surgical center and is an international surveyor for AAAASF and guest reviewer for Becker’s Healthcare Review. He also enjoys teaching and currently lectures nationally, both independently and for Twin Oaks Anesthesia Seminars and the 1099 Success Academy.
